Great Travel Moment

It was the perfect precursor to a spring day in Southern California. I was doing a 30 mile bike ride along the coast from Oceanside into Delmar. I had stopped to rest by a little beach side park in Delmar and was taking in the scenery and breathing deeply of the cool ocean breeze when I was struck by how beautiful the view was. I took the picture with my bike in the frame and felt it was the perfect accompaniment for how I felt at that moment...a combination of gratitude to be alive and experiencing the moment and appreciation that I could take it all in using nothing more than me and my bike to do it.
