Great Travel Moment

This photo was taken during a trip to Peru last summer. On this day we had traveled to the Sacred Valley. While this provided some of the most breathtaking scenery I've ever experienced, it was also a true test of my fear of heights. With all the thrills of the day, I was pretty much ready to head back to Cusco and our hotel but we had one last stop in Chinchero. We spiraled up to the top of this mountain and came upon this small, mountain town (coincidentally the home town of our tour guide). We arrived just at dusk and it was so quiet and calm. We were able to capture this photo just before the sun set. I love the glacier peak in the background which shows how high we were.
