Great Travel Moment

I know it's not the most visually striking photo, but it left such a lasting impression. All over Thailand, signs referred to me as "foreigner." Thai people, possibly the nicest, sweetest people on the planet, didn't understand how much it makes visitors realize what outsiders we are to them. Eventually, I got through to a Thai family that I had befriended, and they started calling me "brother" instead of "foreigner."
