Great Travel Moment The clouds and sun merge in a way you don't see anywhere but Northern California, particularly at Stinson Beach. The day we came to Stinson for a day-vacation, the hills surrounding the Beach were covered in a thick fog, and on the drive down the hill I regretted not bringing a blanket. But when we arrived at the beach, the sun had pushed its way through a hole of clouds, and the effect was breathtaking -- the horizon seemed so low, and the fog, clouds, and blue sky all seemed to touch the water. The colors were irridescent and foamy...so gorgeous. As my sister ran around in the water, I took a picture of her jumping...her positioning in this photo marks the meeting point of sky and earth, and really evokes the freedom of the moment. |
