Great Travel Moment Mmmmm. There's nothing like the satisfying crunch of of a grasshopper between your teeth. They're sold in random locations around Bangkok by street vendors and the locals buy small bags of them to eat like candy snacks. Did I want to eat a bug? No. Did I like the taste? Again, No. However, I do like to try to experience as much local culture as possible when I'm in a foreign land. Thankfully, the grasshopper didn't have much taste, but just a lot of crunchy wings and legs. I won't be adding it to my regular diet now that I'm back home, but I knew that I'd be happy that I at least tried the bugs. And I am. |
