Great Travel Moment

The Southwestern most tip of the United States. Ballast Point in San Diego. The first and last thing that I see pulling in and out of port from Naval Station San Diego. I love to see how the earth tapers and eventually becomes one with the ocean. Once again the lighthouse sits at the end. This time it sits for the numerous sailors that enter the San Diego harbor civilian and military alike. Ballast Point is a special place to me because whenever I return from a deployment, this is the first piece of American soil that I see and I tell you, there is nothing better than to see that after being gone for months away from home.
