Great Travel Moment On the second day of the Inka Trail (a four day hike to Machu Picchu) my group had to hike from 11,000 feet above sea level to a mountain pass that was at 14,000 feet above sea level. Coming from a very flat Miami, Florida where we live below sea level, this was not only one of the most difficult days of my life, but one of my proudest moments. As you reach the top of the mountain you cannot help but feel so human and incredibly overwhelmed by the enigmatic mountains before you. |
