Great Travel Moment My husband, sister and I had just arrived in Siem Reap and were eager to see some temples. We enlisted the wisdom and experience of a local guide and he brought us to an old shack on the side of the road. Although we were looking forward to seeing some landmarks, this stop was one of the highlights of the trip. It was here we were shown how incense is made by hand. We were introduced to the family and got a glimpse into their daily lives. It was sweltering hot outside and this woman was covered up to keep from breathing in the aromatic dust. The humidity in the air caused the yellow powder to stick to everything, so we left smelling like a bouquet of flowers! |
