Great Travel Moment

When my sister and I signed up for a trip into the Amazon Rainforest in Equator, we thought we were going to see a plethora of interesting animals. While not the type of animals we necessarily expected, what we found was an abundance of enormous insects, bugs and spiders, like Lucy the tarantula. Although we loved everything about our adventure from barreling down the blackened river waters, to our Parana fishing exploits, to drinking water out of a tree trunk, to even eating lemon tasting ants, I think my sister and I may never get over our fear of these oversized monsters! At first we panicked about this tarantula under the thatched eves of the wash area. Shortly thereafter we grew up just a bit- named her Lucy, and prayed to the tarantula gods that she was just watching over the washroom area and wasn?t hoping to join the party!
