Great Travel Moment

We stopped in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia while on a wonderful Holland American cruise. Friends we met on the ship shared a taxi with us to see this fascinating country. First our driver took us to a beautiful mosque and then he took us to see the village built on stilts above the water. These children were in front of their home and they waved to us welcoming us into their world. Their home was made of single boards with a roof. The bathroom drained into the tidal basin on which their home was built. The photo was taken by my husband Ron.
