Great Travel Moment When I gaze at this picture my memories go back to the month of May 2009. I spent a magical week on a tiny island, Ameland, located a short ferry ride away from the northern coast of Holland. My husband and I rented a small cottage with a thatch roof just a walking distance from the sand dunes and a beautiful beach. I have come to understand that no sunset is alike. Every evening my husband and I were fascinated by the beautiful color display of the sunset; the beach was completely deserted giving us a sense of peace and tranquility. The sounds of waves, seagulls, the salty air added to the beauty of the moment. We watched the last of the sunrays disappear before heading back to our cottage. Our path took us by the lighthouse where we could see its beams brushing on our little cottage. Truly magical. |
