Great Travel Moment I took a trip to Grand Teton National Park in November--a time of the year when nobody visits because it's not summer and not quite yet ski season. I drove into the park in frigid, snowy conditions and the ranger at the gate admitted me for only $5.00. Aside from the ranger at the ranger station, I saw no one else around. The main lodge was closed as was the only gas station. Everything was so still and peaceful. It was so quiet and desolate so I decided to get out of the car and walk down the middle of the road in the direction of Jackson Hole. It was so beautiful moment I will never forget and it made me realize that traveling in the off season is not such a bad idea. |
