Great Travel Moment Auto Rickshaws, little three-wheeled covered carts with a "top-speed" of 40 KPH, are nearly everywhere in India and are the ubiquitous way to travel. My girlfriend and I put many, many kilometers behind us in these little swarming contraptions. Besides the fact that their meters never worked, I loved the way so many were personalized. One of our favorite drivers had this little "lucky Ganesh" sticker on his headlight. It seemed to work for us in the un-nerving traffic of India and I trust it's still doing so for him. |
