Great Travel Moment In order to see the pyramids before the packed tour coaches arrived we got up before sunrise and rode out into the desert on a couple of rented camels. Unfortunately, we will never be able to witness these marvels in all the magnificence I?m sure they possessed many thousand years ago, before weather and people removed layers of smooth rock that made these impressive monuments even grander but seeing them bathed in the light of the desert dawn, helps us travel back in time and stand in awe of human conviction which drove our ancient ancestors to build these immense headstones. |

What a great photo. My family and I were at this very site in December. It truly is a wonderful site. We rode the camels, too. We were all so awestruck at the sight of the pyramids and the Sphinx and couldn't believe we were actually there. Definitely rates as our best family trip and I highly recommend it to everyone.

This is one my all time favorite photos. I keep coming back to check it out.

Phenomenal photo - brings back memories of trying to beat all the tour buses so we could get tickets to go inside the great pyramid. This is really stunning.
