Great Travel Moment

I took this shot at the crack of dawn when the light was perfect. No one was on the beach except for one other photographer and two fishermen on the rocks. The beauty of this area (called Baker Beach) is hard to beat. The nature in the area is spectacular, as is the Golden Gate Bridge. If you are willing to rise out of bed while it is still dark and to arrive at Baker Beach right at first light, you can get some of the most specacular photos of your life. Bring a jacket, because even in the summer it can be chilly on the beach at this early hour, but it is well worth the effort. I was in San Francisco visiting an ill friend who has since passed away, and this photo will always remind me of him.
