Great Travel Moment

All my life, ever since I was a young boy of 5, I dreamed of the mysterious East, of faraway lands, and most of all, of Hong Kong. Now in my adult life, my dream has come true -- several times, in fact. My job has taken me to many wonderful places in Asia, including the magical city of Hong Kong. But never was I fortunate enough to visit during the most special time of year -- Chinese New Year. And so a bit of my boyhood facination still remained -- imagining the lights, the colors, the sounds, the excitement, the magic of the biggest celebration in my most special of cities. So you can imagine my pleasure when, during the Year Of The Ox, I finally saw that explosion of light and color, felt the rush of excitement and expectation, and smelled the smoke of the massive fireworks show over Victoria Harbor during Chinese New Year 2009.
