Great Travel Moment

We spent 3 days on the south rim of the Grand Canyon, in August and were cold and wet most of the time. We were so disappointed due to the weather, but I was determined to have good memories of this trip. I insisted that we take the tram out to the end of the line where I heard sunsets were the best. Everyone thought I was crazy because of the clouds and rain, it wasn't going to be anything worth seeing, but they were wrong. I hoped for just a few golden sun rays before evening fell, and was rewarded ten-fold. It was raining a little when I snapped this shot and we had to decide whether to take the tram back or wait an hour, perhaps in more rain. We stayed and this was just the beginning. That sunset brightened us all and was worth the three days wait.
