Great Travel Moment

Hiking through this canyon was amazing. I could just imagine the first settlers who happened upon it on their way to settle a new land. How different their lives were from ours today. The daily struggles they endured just to survive and the courage it must have taken to leave the safety of their homes in the east to travel to unknown territory in the west. As I walked among the red rocks I wondered how many other footsteps had passed this way. If only the rocks could talk...what stories they would tell.
