Great Travel Moment My visit to New York City was planned around this exhibit by Christo in Central Park. Diligently, I tracked the weather forecast, since this exhibit was occurring in February, to have the best possible weather for my visit. All indications were that Valentine's weekend was going to be an ideal time to visit Central Park for this exhibit, so I made my travel plans accordingly. Awakening on Sunday morning, the weekend the exhibit opened, the sun was gloriously shining, the air was crisp, and the energy was incredible as I descended on the park with thousands of others there to enjoy the exhibit. The breeze was gently moving the orange fabric of the display while the sun shone, illuminating the fabric in contrast to the glistening ice on the lake under the bridge. The New York skyline, the crisp blue sky, the contrast of the bright orange panels was truly a feast for the senses! |
