Great Travel Moment Indian road travel is truely beyond endurance! Having red many novels about Darjeeling and watched Michael Pailin's romanticizing the famous "Toy Train" climbing to the hill station, I found myself in the pictured traffic jam in Darjeeling and sharing the road with the dilapidated, smoking train, diesel fume spitting jeeps, locals on foot and donkeys pulling the "first flush " tea harvest. Road travel in India is outright uncomfortable but strangely addictive!!!! |
