Great Travel Moment This is Alberto, who taught me the Spanish name of vegetables while I studied abroad in Barcelona. My first month there, I took photos of picturesque ocean views and monuments. Towards the end of the year, I had fallen in love with Barcelona. I had come to know its personality; my pictures changed. Barcelona had become the market that I went to every week to buy fresh produce, and the man I bought a croissant and coffee from every Saturday. Barcelona was skaters jumping off of the rails leading to the modern art museum. Barcelona was freshly painted graffiti, dripping down a rusted garage door. Good pictures not only show you how beautiful a person or place truly is, but capture moments in time and bring them back instantaneously so that you can re-live your experiences. I would love to re-visit Barcelona no longer a student on a shoestring budget. |
