Great Travel Moment

In the summer of 2007, I went backpacking through Europe with my friend. One of our favorite stops was Cinque Terre. We dropped off our stuff at a hostel and proceeded to hike from town to town...me wearing Old Navy flip flops. We managed to make it through each town, even getting gelato (twice), going for a swim and doing some shopping. When we got to the last town, we ate dinner outside and the sun began to set. I took this photo after enjoying some pesto gnocchi. I might have had to set some gelato down to take it, come to think of it. I loved the pristine nature of the place, and this shot takes me back to that quiet, beautiful place. It helps me to remember the faint smell of salt, the deep blue of the darkening sky, and the reflection of lights on the water.
