Great Travel Moment

Traveling to Israel with a group from my synagogue, the West Bank settlements were not on our scheduled itinerary. But on a drive with an old friend and long time resident of Jerusalem, I ventured into this conflicted territory. On the outskirts of one of the settlements we encountered this small Orthodox Jewish boy, playing in front of his modest home. I am saddened every time I look at this picture, and think of all the children's lives that have been disrupted by the tensions and seemingly irreconcilable differences of the middle east.
