Great Travel Moment

This peaceful buddha statue sits in the middle of the woods at a buddhist monastery outside of Washington DC in Maryland. I traveled there with two friends on our day off while working in Washington DC. The day was hot, but magical...we visited the monastery, and saw amazing crystals from all over the world, the offerings, and prayer flags, and then went for a walk in the Peace Park on the property. As we made our way through the woods, there were statues, large crystals, and prayer flags placed lovingly around the grounds. Sitting under a wonderful group of trees was this statue, smiling peacefully at any visitors who made their way into that part of the park. The day was very peaceful, and grounding for me, and this photo reminds me that I can find that peace at any time, in any place.
