Great Travel Moment They say when you die, you're supposed to see light at the end of the tunnel. As much as I would like to think that my travel itinerary to get to India nearly killed me, it pales in comparison to the lives and hardship I observed around me in Agra. In this photo, the Taj Mahal at the end of this particular tunnel is a fitting vision for heaven but the more I immersed myself in the culture, walked step by step with the locals deep in the heart of the Taj Ganj, I was given glimpses into the dreams and paradises of a people just taking one step at a time, living life day by day, in the moment. I saw light in the faces and hearts of the people I encountered in India, and in that respect, every tunnel I entered was illuminated by their presence. |
