Great Travel Moment I was in Maastricht for business, and I flew in and out of Brussels and spent a few days there, as well as venturing up the Belgian countryside. This was my last evening in Brussels, and I had just returned via rail from a day of sightseeing and shopping in Bruges. My coworker and I sat in the large square, exhausted, and enjoyed some unbelievable Belgian beer (Leffe) along with "moules et frites" - the Unofficial Belgian National Meal of buttery mussels with french fries. As evening descended, and the locals came to join us in our repast, we made new friends and relaxed in the evening (I am a French speaker). I could feel the European combination of good food, good friends, fabulous architecture (why I snapped this photo from my café table), and cool spring breezes descend like a relaxing massage on our little piece of the world. |
