Great Travel Moment My family and I had braved a harrowing walk directly down a cliff to a closed beach. It had been closed due to a rockslide that had wiped out the majority of the stairs and railings, leaving the path almost impassible. The clear blue waters, stunning beauty, and lack of tourists were well worth the tears. Upon climbing back to the top and driving back toward civilization, we met another almost impassible obstacle. A large herd of goats, essentially a stampede, blocked the dirt road in front of us. They were headed straight toward our rental car. Soon we saw the caretaker of the animals arrive just behind his herding dogs. Over a span of about fifteen minutes the seemingly bewildered goats jingled passed us, surrounding our vehicle in the process. This was a true Grecian moment. |
