Great Travel Moment This was taken recently on my trip to London and the English countryside. It was such an amazing experience, mostly because I had never dreamed of actually seeing Stonehenge. I had read a lot about it, as an anthropology major, and it always seemed like one of those distant, exotic places that I'd never have the chance to see. It was so incredible standing next to a structure that was so many thousands of years old, and had such historical significance. It is the perfect memory of my trip to England, which entailed seeing London for the first time, and then driving along the English coastline to go to Bath and a charming little town called Beer. We got to Stonehenge as the sun was setting, and it was finally sunny, and warm, and the whole site was surrounded by hundreds of black and white sheep. |
