Great Travel Moment

This little girl sits on the fountain stand within a water basin just in front of the monumental tiered tomb of Akbar in Sikandra. Her Father had sat her there in a playful maneuver to cheer up the tired little girl. Their family had made a special trip to visit the tomb complex -- as three people from my party awkwardly squeezed out of our rickshaw, this same family quickly unpiled around seven people from their own. The grounds of Akbar's tomb are quite expansive, and we had the opportunity to see a variety of monkeys, peacocks, antelope, and birds, but eventually the heat and tired feet get to everyone. The best part of this picture, is actually off-screen: her entire family was making faces to make her smile for Dad, and the girls in my group were egging her along with the Hindi numbers we had learned earlier that day, "Ek, Do, Teen, Paneer!" (One, Two, Three, Cheese!)
