Great Travel Moment

This photo was taken while on a camel trekking tour in Jaisalmer, India. We rode out to some beautiful dunes, where we watched the sunset and spent the night under the stars. The picture reminds me of the sense of freedom and calm that one gets when in the middle of nowhere, far from any significant human activity. Just looking off into the distance and seeing the vast nothingness helps to shed any lingering feelings of stress. I think my traveling mates would agree that the desert can be a very relaxing place.
