Great Travel Moment Now nothing more than a broken-down façade, this old hotel sits decaying on one of Old San Juan?s myriad cobble-stoned streets. The hotel I stayed at in the capital city was not much better but I rarely look for comfort when I travel. It?s usually about location, character and the experiences that often go along with the choice. I?ve slept in Buddhist monasteries, on rooftops, in converted mosques and on many a train, plane or bus. These experiences, while at the time often uncomfortable or downright dangerous, are now filled with fond memories. |
