Great Travel Moment An island excursion is always an adventure, and after my travel buddies and I had hiked and climbed our way up hundreds of ancient steps, past scores of eager merchants with carved wood and died scarves and local island edibles, we reached a landing before the trail that led to the Elephanta Caves. We were exhausted - muscles we didn't know we had were twitching, and we looking for a legitimate bottle of sealed water to pass around before we entered the mystic monuments. When we had regrouped and regained our senses, someone hinted for us all to slowly turn and see the contented monkey curiously watch all of the pathetic tourists struggle up the mountainside. He was surely an example of how to relax on an island, just sitting there chillin'! Next time I go island hopping, I think I'll just monkey around too. |
