Great Travel Moment My boyfriend and I, anxious for both an enriching cultural experience and some sunny relaxation, traveled to South Africa. After touring the wine country for a few days we escaped to the town of Kommetjie, about half way down the Atlantic coast between Cape Town and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve. While Kommetjie is just a quiet, modest little fishing village, it is also the location of one of the most stunning beaches either of us had ever visited. This photo was taken from the breakfast table one morning on the balcony of the guesthouse where we stayed. While the flowers have captured the lens' focus, your eye is quickly drawn to the dramatic landscape behind them. There is something so effortlessly perfect about the scene -- which is exactly how I felt that morning over my coffee ... there was nowhere else on earth I'd have rather been at that moment, with such natural beauty before me. |
