Great Travel Moment I spent a week in a rural village in the foothills of the Moroccan Atlas Mountains, living with a family of goat farmers, trying to understand their life. The priorities and life that they lead are so much more pure and simple than what I was used to from the big American cities I had recently been staying in. Life moved at a slower pace, and yet, there seemed to be a paradoxical quickening of the flow of time and experiences. Just as I thought I had finally settled on the perfect vista or hill crest, a shift in the sun or the demands of the goats would take me elsewhere and I would realize that I needed even more time to take everything in. Discovering this heart shaped tree was the lucky result of a slower yet richer pace. |
