Great Travel Moment I love the red rock formations of Utah and my dream was to photograph them with snow. We timed a trip to Zion to hopefully capture it. Unfortunately when we arrived on the Friday in early February there was no snow but we did enjoy photographing the usual Zion icons. Saturday it snowed all day--heavy wet snow with overcast skies. Not great for photography. Sunday morning we awoke at 6:15 to see clear skies and stars! Two of us headed out and took hundreds of photos. We didn't look at our watches for nearly 3 hours and returned with some amazing images. This is my favorite since it captures the spirit of adventure as shown by the hikers along with the beautiful red rock formations. This photo hangs on our wall as a reminder of that incredible day. |

This photo is un-real and amazing. Almost as if it was painted. From the colors and light, to the people on the bridge, just as they are crossing, to the wind blown clouds at the crest of the mountain range. Pure perfection, and you didn't even have to leave the U.S.
