Great Travel Moment

Touching the pyramids after only reading about them and seeing them in books was awesome. Built of blocks the size of trucks and brought by Faluccas down the Nile and from the other side of Cairo, the construction of these mammoths , to a Civil Engineer like me, just took my breath away. Beyond their massive size, their history and the stories that have evolved over the ages regarding their contents, the stolen artifacts, the mysteries that have been written about them have made them a principal subject in the story of civilization. I was thrilled in so many ways to be there in person.
