Great Travel Moment We were strolling through the streets of Rome getting accustomed to the intense traffic and the dangers pedestrians face when crossing a busy street. It then occurred to me that with this much traffic there must be a terrible parking problem in Rome. Yes, many Italian vehicles are small, but still how do they all find parking places? The answer became clear when I saw this example of using every square inch of curb space to park. Many times we saw vehicles parked "nose-to-toes". One had to wonder if the owners would get a group of friends together to lift the vehicle away from the curb in order not to damage the neighboring means of transportation so closely packed together. |
