Great Travel Moment

In Florence I was taking a picture of my friend and could see the reflection of the woman who was serving gelato in the mirror of the gelateria. Sometimes these ?happy accidents? occur and I was quick to snap the shot. Besides the great art of Florence and the ever present sight of the Duomo, gelaterias dominate the streets with several on every block. The gelato ?maidens,? as I call them because of their white headwear, serve up thousands of scoops of gelato a year. It was great to capture the ?flavor? of Florence while taking a personal picture of my travel companion. These are the photos that I value the most once I?m home. For me they convey the essence of Florence.
