Great Travel Moment

Rothenburg is one of those rare towns that is both incredibly touristy and compellingly beautiful due to its frozen in time quality. After a long day of roaming the streets, lugging heavy camera gear and photographing everything that didn't move, we dropped our bags at a tiny B&B just outside of the town wall and headed back in for dinner. We wandered through some back streets and happened upon this tiny weinstube. The interior was dark and forbidding but there was one tiny table outside that appeared to be transported from a Hollywood set. This scene captures one of my favorite moments in a three week trip that spanned Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It was taken with a tiny point and shoot because our serious gear was all back in our room. Never go anywhere without a camera!
