Great Travel Moment

Our oldest son was turning forty and we were invited to join the party! I'm not sure there is any greater joy for a parent than to be included by one's children - snd when that inclusion means a weekend in Paris it's sheer bliss. On our second night my daughter-in-law had arranged a dinner for six - in a boat on the Seine. It was Valentine's Day in 2007 and we were greeted with champagne and red roses. Paris, as always put on her party face and we reveled in the magic of lights and soft air. The most amazing part - the French we met were friendly and helpful! One gentleman, seeing us deciphering a street map, offered to help us find the Rodin Museum - and greeted my high school French with a smile.
