Great Travel Moment This was a spectacular night. My wife, Pam, had never been to Europe and having learned French in high school always wanted to visit Paris, as well as other areas like Provence. We flew in from London the day before, cold and dreary as it often is, and were enjoying the warmer weather in Paris. We had finished dinner at an exquisite restaurant that we stumbled upon, complete with Parisian's feeding steak to their dogs on their laps, and were walking toward the Tour Eiffel. We rounded a corner, and there it was, the Eiffel Tower. The tower was sparkling like a diamond, the strobes were flashing at that exact moment, I could not have timed it better if I tried. I wish I could bottle her happiness at the sight and open it when she needs. This shot was taken as we were leaving the area, having walked from south to north. I have not tampered with the image, just a longer exposure that led to the wisps of passersby. |
