Great Travel Moment

Back in 2002 I had lived in the Caribbean for about ten months. I loved the weather, the beaches, the food and though it took some adjustments, eventually the culture. I returned to the US in 2003 had not been back to any part of the Caribbean until this picture, in January of 2009, when my husband and I took our first Caribbean cruise. We had just arrived in St Thomas and were about to go on a snorkeling expedition on St. John when we saw the name of our boat. In Washington, when I returned from the islands, I was thought of as the island girl among friends and family. So when I saw this boat, I felt like the Caribbean was welcoming me back! I enjoy looking at this picture because it reminds me of how excited I was to be back, to be warm, to be relaxed, and to know I would soon be back on a real beach!
