Great Travel Moment

Four years ago, my boyfriend/companion persuaded me to ski a groomed black slope. I took this picture so that afterwards, I could recall how steep it was and know that I had survived! Since then, we have skied many more groomed black slopes - all the more reason to keep exercising and stay fit! This year, we got married while on our ski trip. I turn 60 in October and hope to retire in January. My husband and I want to celebrate my retirement with an expedition-style trip to Antarctica. One added benefit to conquering my fear of heights: I was able to help with the patch job in the wind and the rain after a tree limb punctured our roof as Hurricane Ike approached the Gulf Coast...and I used to be afraid of heights!
