Great Travel Moment We were strolling through the Bo Kaap neighborhood of Cape Town after a spicy Malay lunch and learning about the freed slaves who were allowed to stay in this area of the city. These people came from all sorts of different countries and cultures, which is evidenced by the flavors and buildings, and the faces of the residents. This was a particularly beautiful, sunny day in Cape Town. The bright blue sky and sunny colors of the houses stand in stark contrast to the brutal history of this neighborhood´s residents. |
