Great Travel Moment It was just another afternoon and another wedding. The horse had arrived, the decorations were strung over the house and that end of the street was covered with festive cloth. Relatives were gathering, yet the residents upstairs had not yet convened on their balconies overlooking the occasion. A few neighbors had settled on the stairs. The kids buzzied around in anticipation of festivities. The band would be ready when the event progressed and the signal was given. Amidst these preparations, the sun moved and routine couldn't wait. A man pulled out this cot and threw off his sandals. He lay down. Eventually he lit a cigarette. Soon he covered himself with a blanket. In a matter of minutes he would snooze. Weddings can go on for hours, and who knows when they'll get started, but a nap is a nap and never can wait. |
