Great Travel Moment We took a two week tour of Asia while accompanying my dad on a business trip. It was both fabulous and frustrating. Fabulous because we traveled first class for free and frustrating because the itinerary was so tightly scheduled we had to practice the "shoot and sprint" technique. This consists of taking photographs as quickly as possible and then running to catch up with the rest of the group. We were traveling in a van to visit the Great Wall at Badaling and I was shooting (mostly blurry) photographs out of the window when I spotted this scene on the sidewalk. Fortunately, we had stopped for traffic so I was able to get a few good shots. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to include the sign she had posted advertising the price - $10 Yuan, about $1.50 US. I love this photo because it captures the spirit of modern Chinese entrepreneurship! |
