Great Travel Moment

There were once two pink granite obelisks at Luxor Temple. One of them was gifted in friendship to the people of France and adorns the Place de la Concorde in Paris. Its twin still keeps guard at the temple's entrance, reaching out to the skies, as if asking the ancient gods Isis and Osiris to protect the Pharaoh and his people. The sight of the obelisk and the excitement of walking on the grounds of the splendid temple it serves, are images that will remain in our memories forever.
