Great Travel Moment

I took this photograph whilst walking around central Florence, back in April, 2009, on my way to my favourite trattoria in the city, 'Sostanza' (a restaurant that I highly recommend to all visitors in future). What I admire most about my picture, besides the fact that Mr. Bull Dog in question is so fat and loveable, is the point that he just didn't care about all of us tourists walking by him that day! Mr. Bull Dog needed a much deserved break, a cool down, and, well, the chilled sidewalk was a perfect place for him to lounge. In a way, Mr. Bull Dog is much like the Florentines themselves, stiff-lipped, crusty, abrasive, and obviously tired of too many mostly boring tourists! Good for you Mr. Bull Dog, keep cool on the streets of Florence, and do what you want to do!
