Great Travel Moment I noticed this sea turtle swimming around the bay in Kona and he was too quick for me to get a photo. I eventually climbed out onto the lava rock for a twenty minute wait to get a good angle and a "face shot." I remember the breeze and being alone watching the sea turtle calmly eat beneath the rippling waves. He was in no hurry to show his face. I sat with my eye to the lens and followed his moves until; finally, he came up for a look around. I got one shot before he ducked beneath the surf again. I love the photo because the light on the ocean blends with the light on his shell giving him camouflage, and the expression on his face is that of a tolerant movie star giving in to the paparazzi so they'll stop watching them. |
