Great Travel Moment After 19 years at my job, I was part of a mass lay off due to company merger. I was not sad or worried. It was time to go. It was time to fulfill my dream to live in Paris. I immediately booked a flight and rented an apartment online. The plan fell together without a hitch. I arrived in mid-February to some light snow. After 10 snow days of light snow, I took a side trip to Nice for some warmth and sunshine. It rained and hailed every day I was there. One evening, I was strolling home through the Tuileries and suddenly felt a warm glow. I looked up and saw the peaceful snow covered garden beneath a fiery orange sky. The almighty Eiffel Tower twinkling in the background was the perfect backdrop. I took it as a sign of better days ahead. |
